Hi, Sketchbook Community!

One day, I woke up early in the morning so I decided to make some hot tea. Since it was a cool morning, I grabbed my art materials from my office desk and went to the dining table to enjoy my tea.

I was using my A5 sketchbook to practice my doodles and painting. This is how I did it.

Step 1

Draw a random flower using your pencil. I had no idea what is the name of this flower or I don't know if this design really existed.

Step 2

After drawing a flower, you can paint your canvas or your sketchbook in random shapes and colors. For the colors, I used Lotus Root, Turmeric, Group Green, and Pine Flower.

Step 3

Use a black fine-liner pen to trace the sketching of the flower. I was using pen 08 to trace the line shape.

Step 4

Create some details. I used some line shadings on the flower to have some depth and not look flat. Also, you need to follow the curves of the flower when you do the line shadings.

Doodling flowers is my way to de-stress so it's really fun to do this with different types of flowers.
