The other day I was playing CS: GO and brought a new skin for my MP5 SD and then thought hey why don't I try modelling one of my favorite guns in the game on blender. And that is what was done today.
Here is the render.
Basically a play of cylinders and cubes with loop cuts. I had referenced some images online to get the guns overall shape. I think it turned out a bit ok (as a beginner :D).
Anyway here is the behind the scenes screens:
The basic build, without any smoothen or blends
After adding materials and lighting
The only new modifier I used was the Array modifier to create the barrel part. The first single ring is the only one created and then that is copied and offset on Y with a distance and number of rings needed.
