La artista modelo en esta ocasión, fue ni más ni menos, la gran representante de la belleza, moda, y símbolo sexual Marilyn Monroe. Me dio mucho placer plasmarla, pues para mí, es de las mujeres más admirables y poderosas que jamás han existido.

The model artist on this occasion was neither more nor less, the great representative of beauty, fashion, and sexual symbol Marilyn Monroe. It gave me great pleasure to capture her, because for me, she is one of the most admirable and powerful women who have ever existed.
Mi imagen de referencia es esta. Para el retrato utilicé un lapiz 2b y otro lapiz escolar mucho más claro.
My reference image is this. For the portrait I used a 2b pencil and a much lighter school pencil.

Marilyn Monroe nació en Los Ángeles, 1 de junio de 1926, fue una actriz, cantante y modelo estadounidense. Se convirtió en uno de los símbolos sexuales más populares de la década de 1950 y principios de los 60, así como en un emblema de la revolución sexual de la época. Para 1953, Monroe era una de las estrellas de Hollywood más comercializables; sus peliculas más exitosas fueron Niagara, Los Caballeros las Prefieren Rubias, The Seven Year Itch y Cómo Casarse con un Millonario. Una gran mujer que a día de hoy sigue siendo un icono pop y una de las mayores influencias de los 50' y 60'.

Marilyn Monroe was born in Los Angeles, June 1, 1926, she was an American actress, singer and model. It became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and early 1960s, as well as an emblem of the sexual revolution of the time. By 1953, Monroe was one of Hollywood's most marketable stars; her most successful films were Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Seven Year Itch and How to Marry a Millionaire. A great woman who today is still a pop icon and one of the biggest influences of the 50's and 60's.
