Recuerdo que en mi curso de hiperrealismo el tema de Cross hatching se hablo poco, si es cierto que es una tรฉcnica muy bรกsica, yo nada mรกs pintรฉ una circunferencia con ella. Pero ยฟQue es el Cross hatching?
"Es una tรฉcnica variable de la graduaciรณn, es un tramado cruzado. Dibujas una serie de lรญneas diagonales y luego inclinas el papel y dibujas otra serie de lรญneas que las crucen. Se puede obtener una menor o mayor oscuridad segรบn la separaciรณn que le dejes entre las lรญneas. fuente
I remember that in my hyperrealism course the subject of Cross hatching was not talked about much, it is true that it is a very basic technique, I just painted a circumference with it. But what is Cross hatching?
"it is a variable grading technique, it is a cross hatching. You draw a series of diagonal lines and then you tilt the paper and draw another series of lines crossing them. You can get less or more darkness depending on how much space you leave between the lines" source
Ciertamente me explicaron que el Hatching que en francรฉs serรญa Hachure se traduce como rayar, aquรญ se refiere a cuando hacemos lรญneas perpendiculares en solamente una direcciรณn, pero cuando aรฑadimos el Cross que significa Cruce dibujamos lineas en la direcciรณn contrarรญa, perpendiculares.
Certainly it was explained to me that the Hatching that in French would be Hachure is translated as rayar, here it refers to when we make perpendicular lines in only one direction, but when we add the Cross that means Cruce we draw lines in the opposite direction, perpendicular.
Hice mi boceto con color morado, no sรฉ en quรฉ momento empecรฉ a pintar que olvide que querรญa utilizar un bolรญgrafo. Esta tรฉcnica conceptualmente es muy sencilla, pero supongo que como fue bรกsicamente mi primera vez usรกndola pase mucho rato pensando la direcciรณn de las lรญneas.
I made my sketch with purple color, I don't know at what point I started to paint that I forgot that I wanted to use a pen. This technique conceptually is very simple, but I guess since it was basically my first time using it I spent a lot of time thinking about the direction of the lines.
No hay mucho que explicar porque en los lugares donde querรญa que la sombra o la profundidad fuera mรกs marcada hacรญa mรกs lรญneas cruzadas, hice mucho รฉnfasis en la nariz y en la mandรญbula.
There's not much to explain because where I wanted the shadow or depth to be more pronounced I did more cross-hatching, I put a lot of emphasis on the nose and jawline.

I really like your drawings and this technique. I really need to get back into drawing again. I tend to do digital drawings these days (which isnโt as special I know). I look forward to your next post :)

Excelente explicaciรณn, corta y precisa para aprender un poco mรกs sobre la tรฉcnica que comentas, te quedo un dibujo bien detallado y aplicando el โcrosshatchโ le dieron bastante profundidad a la nariz y la boca, buen dibujo.
