Happy start to the week to everyone in #sketchbook and #hive; I hope you’re all off to a good start today. I’m here in the community to share a more traditional illustration I created this weekend—one I’ve titled "Blue Venus"—featuring a beautiful woman sitting and looking at the viewer while smoking a cigarette. I really liked how it turned out; it had been a while since I’d done this kind of piece. Anyway, here is the process.
And that wraps up today's post; I hope you all enjoy it. I'll be bringing much more to the community later on. Wishing everyone a great Monday.
The way her gaze holds the viewer while the cigarette smoke curls through that blue palette makes the whole piece feel like one long held breath.
thanks soon more :)
amazing work brother 👏, i love the mellons especially 😆
🤣
Coming back to a traditional piece like Blue Venus shows in the confident linework, the cigarette detail gives her real character.
