Se había escuchado por mucho tiempo. La historia de una criatura que tomaba la forma de una joven mujer para engañar, seducir, acercarse a sus inocentes y desafortunadas víctimas y luego devorarlas. Los encantaba con su belleza, su hermoso cantar, incluso un cautivador aroma. Podías perder la noción del tiempo hasta el momento en que esta revelase su mórbida forma frente a ti, un momento en el que por supuesto ya era demasiado tarde para la ingenua presa.
Sin embargo, la versión más popular de la historia contaba que este ser era más bien una mujer cuya curiosidad por la hechicería la conduciría a realizar prácticas oscuras que terminarían por apoderarse de ella hasta hacerla tomar la forma de un ser de piel oscura, con muchos ojos y colmillos gigantescos, y que esta apariencia tan grotesca había atraído y llenado el bosque de arañas de todos los tamaños, quizás... estas la veían como la "la araña madre" o algo así. De allí surgió el nombre con el que todos en el pueblo la llamarían y temerían “la bruja de las arañas”.
De cualquier forma, lo único cierto de ambas versiones… es que ella era un monstruo, ya que pocos han sido los que se cruzan en su camino y viven para contarlo.

From there arose the name with which everyone in the town would call her and fear "the spider witch".
In any case, the only thing certain about both versions... is that she was a monster, since few have crossed her path and live to tell about it.
En cuanto a la ilustración, por lo general no sumo demasiado color a las ilustraciones pero pienso que igualmente así se ven muy bien, me agrada que lo simple pueda llegar a verse agradable.

As for the illustration, I usually don't add too much color to the illustrations but I think they still look great that way, I like that simple can look nice.
