I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Dan, I am from the UK and I class myself as a very beginner artist. I want to share my art with the world and hopefully find someone that likes it.
The first piece I would like to show is the piece called ' The Heart Tree'
This piece was done for my daughter's birthday who over recent months has seen my work and has been asking for her own piece.
This is done using Acrylic paint on a Gesso prepped canvas.
I have tried to bring some texture to the trunk to make it really stand out. This was done using 7 coats of paint. Each time I mixed it to a slightly different colour to try to build a textured layer.
The outcome really impressed me and gave me ideas for future projects.
I tried to use her favourite colours to make the tree pop and I feel it really came out well.
I will keep putting new pieces up as they get finished.
