A new character painting in my Animal series: Susan Cloverleaf

rabbitteacup1doneSMALL1.jpg
Susan Cloverleaf was not large, by any means, but she did feel quite diminutive with Harriet's tea cups. Visiting her cousin, who was a teetotaler, always made one feel quite tiny, with her large tea cups.

They could be forgiven when considering her husband's penchant for hidden flasks. His golf bags always had extra little pockets, just the size to hold little bottles. Somehow, Harriet felt a large teacup, filled to the brim, would keep her husband from excesses in other liquids. One wondered.

Just now, however, Susan couldn't consider it too deeply for she was just managing to steady her enormous cup, when Harriet was bringing out her massive cakes.

I hope you like Susan and her large teacup. I'm happy being back at my characters with their little stories. Now that I've taken out the stress of weaving a larger tale, each character is more fun to 'meet' as they arrive on my drawing tablet after my morning's art time.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you liked today's little character.

I have to say, tho, now I'm gasping for a cup of tea, so I'll send this off to all of you and get the kettle on. Have a lovely day and I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.

That's a really large teacup, Susan looks so adorable. Beautiful work 👏

Thanks so much @leeendah yes I've imagined an odd little tea party haha.

It looks great ✨

You have made the photo of this rabbit very well.Looking at the scratch, I couldn't understand which color you would add. But when you have colored it, it looks very nice and beautiful.

Thank you, I love adding color and I've been enjoying my subdued palette of late.

Susan and her large teacup look very beautiful
This is one of the best artworks I’ve seen today
Kudos to you!

Gosh, what a wonderful compliment, thank you #rafzat

That's a lot of tea for a little bunny. Sounds like Harriet's husband has a bit of a drinking problem.

;) shh don't tell, it'll get around the village so quickly haha. Tho I picture her husband in his plus fours wobbling along a golf course sneaking sips out of his golf bag :) hmmmm another character me thinks.

I thought as much too

yes a tipsy husband makes for some interesting tea cups I suppose :)

Beautiful 😍
