Hello Sketchbook Community! Hope your weekend is going great. This time I've got a bright nature scene for you, depicting a little creek in springtime.

The inspiration for this painting came from a picture I took last month in April. It was an overcast day on a quiet country road, but even though it was cloudy the new leaves on the trees made the woods seem vivid. There hadn't been any recent rain, so there wasn't much water in the creek bed, just enough for a nice reflection.✨️🪞
My favorite part of this painting is the water's surface. I like how the sky and branches give some variation to the scene, a little breathing room. I used pen (fade) tool for the entire thing and I'm liking the cohesion of it.
🆗️, One thing I want to become better at is creating a richer experience, like more vibrancy, more depth, more masterful use of color. I want my artworx to be so intense the viewer can almost taste it.
As mentioned in my previous post, I'm getting ready to upgrade this summer from IbisPaint free to something with more features. Also planning on taking some skills courses to up my game in certain areas. And of course I am totally open to your suggestions. So stick around for more progress!
