Today I'm sharing a recent artwork I made with IbisPaint on my phone. When I decided to make this, it was another beautiful sunny morning and these trees were looking perfect. Plus it was a good opportunity to work on light and shadow, so here we are.

I wanted to approach this more like a painting, rather than an illustration, so I did minimal sketching and focused on putting the main shapes in once the canvas color-texture was done.
After the main shapes were in place, I added the details of the trees and the sunlight coming through the leaves on the ground at the base of the trees. No blurring or blending on this one - I kept the color blobs and streaks mostly intact, to give a more organic vibe.
