"The youth is the hope of our future."
—José Rizal
José Rizal is one of the most respected figure in Philippine history. He was known for his political writings such as Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo (Touch Me Not and the The Reign of Greed), that enlightened the Filipinos to fight and revolutionize during the Spanish colonization. This event led him (José Rizal) to be executed by the Spanish colonizers.

He became the Philippine National Hero because of his unique silent way of fighting for our freedom, through writings. His nobility and dignity are what set him apart from others.
