Inktober Day Four; Murky

The prompts are getting gloomy and I don’t know how to cope. I am used to conventional portraits and when I saw the #murky prompt I looked it up. My brother and talked about it yesterday though before I searched for the meaning and even though he told me that it was similar to something opaque, something misty, I protested that it was in fact talking about dirtiness or someone stuck in a mud.
I held that wrong idea till I looked it up before drawing this evening and my plans were shattered 🤦🏽‍♂️.

Eventually, I decided to try a misty background for John Wick and have him in a room with his face popping out the window but i miscalculated the proportion. I did try making him blend into the #murky background but felt since he was closer to the window, his reflection ought to show that. What I did to manipulate this though was to get him in rough sketch and not straight lines.
