My Negative Portrait; 'Looking Through'

in Sketchbook2 years ago

I noticed that I haven't been making or sharing negative drawings lately. So to remedy that, I tried making some. Most of the references are anonymous and others look like celebrities but I would like to point out that I am only making them because of the value (contrast) they project.

This particular reference had a little bit of drama on his face and I hope I was able to express that with little details. Feel free to drop your comments below, thanks in advance.....

Thanks for stopping by friends, I really appreciate it.

Your portrait in the negative drawing technique is of great quality. You manage with your strokes to present the face of that old man with a lot of expressiveness.
PS: We suggest that if you use a reference image, you post it for comparison, as well as indicate what resources (crayon or other) you used.
