Dibujo a lápiz, carboncillo y sanguinas

El diciembre pasado fui al museo Michelena. Tomé muchas fotos con mi teléfono, incluso a una antigua fotografía tipo retrato del gran pintor venezolano (ver foto más abajo). Yo pienso que él fue el mejor pintor que ha tenido Venezuela, pero esto es una simple opinión, y está abierta al debate.
Quise hacer el estudio con los lápices y a mano alzada, para tratar de honrar al maestro lo mejor posible. Es bastante difícil no guiarse por cuadrículas o no calcar, pero es parte importante del aprendizaje y es otro tipo de técnica. Es muy difícil guardar las proporciones correctas, hay que aprnder a observar mejor.

Last December I went to the Michelena Museum. I took many photos with my phone, including an old portrait photograph of the great Venezuelan painter (see photo below). I think he was the best painter Venezuela has ever had, but this is just an opinion, and open to debate.
I wanted to do the study with pencils and freehand, to try to honor the master as best as possible. It is quite difficult not to be guided by grids or not to trace, but it is an important part of learning and it is another type of technique. It is very difficult to keep the correct proportions, you have to learn to observe better.
