Para conmemomar los trecientos años de la UNiversidad Central de Venezuela

No había tenido la oportunidad de compartir con ustedes este dibujo que hice en honor a mi Alma Mater. Claro, se trata de su sede antigua. No la sede actual, donde yo estudié, hecha por el maestro Villanueva. Esta era su antigua locación, que es hoy el Palacio de las Academias de Venezuela. Como ven es un edificio colonial, muy gótico. Que nos recuerda a Santa Capilla.
Me fue bastante difícil hacer esta reconstrucción, tuve que basarme en varias fotos:

I had not had the opportunity to share with you this drawing I made in honor of my Alma Mater. Of course, it is about its old headquarters. Not the current site, where I studied, made by the teacher Villanueva. This was its old location, which is today the Palacio de las Academias de Venezuela. As you can see, it is a colonial building, very gothic. It reminds us of Santa Capilla.
It was quite difficult to make this reconstruction, I had to rely on different photos:

El dibujo lo hice en diciembre del año pasado, cuando la Universidad cumplía trecientos años de haberse fundado. Empezó siendo un seminario, luego la Real y Pontificia Universidad de Caracas, luego el Libertador, Simón Bolívar, la refundó, e incluso le hizo sus estatutos. Al final terminó separándose de la institición eclesiástica, lo que era el Colegio Seminario Santa Rosa de Lima, que fue su inicio, es ahora la Universidad Católica Santa Rosa. Mientras que la UCV tiene su historia aparte.
Espero les haya gustado el dibujo, a continuación les dejo las fotos de mi proceso. Para hacerla utilicé grafitos en lápiz y en barritas, además de grafito acuarelable, asimismo usé Carboncillo y lápiz Nero. rabajé sobre un viejo retazo de papel Fabriano para acuarela.

I hope you liked the drawing, here are the photos of my process. To make it I used graphite in pencil and sticks, in addition to watercolor graphite, I also used charcoal and Nero pencil. I worked on an old piece of Fabriano watercolor paper.
