He was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai, the son of Ramesh Tendulkar and Rajini Tendulkar. He started playing cricket at the age of 11 and first playing international cricket for India at the age of 16. The player who has scored the most runs is the player who has scored the most centuries and thus holds numerous records. He retired in 2013 after ending his 24-year cricket career.
