Of the female characters featured in the Mario games, Rosalina is the girl who has caught my attention the most. I think (for me) that Rosalina is a more mature character, maternal and with a sad story that I will not go into Spoiler, but I liked and more her witchy design in Mario kart.
I know it's still October for the Halloween theme but I couldn't resist to make a drawing with that outfit, it looks simple at first sight but I don't know, I like the way she looks because of her hat.
If I get to unlock her in Mario Kart with that outfit, she's going to be one of my favorites next to Luigi, Bowser and Toad.
Anyway, going more to talk about the drawing. I wanted to make a drawing of Rosalina in my style preparing "something" in a cauldron and in the background some ghosts called "Boo".
I'm trying to put some watermark on the drawings, if they don't convince me I won't put them back.
I had the idea of drawing the background of the mansion of the game Luigi mansions, but I discarded it because I knew that when I made the character the background would not be noticed, so thinking about it more and watching gameplays of Mario Kart, I preferred to replace them with the Boos.
I thought I could color over the lineart to give it more effect .... Meaty? at first I liked the idea but I thought about it and said no, I'd better leave the lineart as it was, however with the sparkle I thought it looked good so with it I colored over the lineart (you can see it in the Gif of the creative process below).
Making hands is a dilemma, I don't understand how it is that there are times when I get them right and others when it's hard for me and I do them as best I can. 😤
The watermark is so that other users in the social networks where I am going to upload the drawing realize that I have those accounts, since it seems that they do not always visualize my profile.
I made several corrections as usual until I got to the final result, I liked it but I need to practice using the backgrounds. Here is my creative process in a GIF:
Note: At the last minute I had to add some more color/blush and edit the look towards the cauldron because it looked like it was facing the front and with that I have said that my drawing was finished.
