My opinion of this book:

Ever since Stephenie announced this book due to the anniversary of "Twilight" (I can't believe it's been ten years!) there have been a lot of negative reviews and comments, including myself, we all hoped that she would finally publish "Midnight Sun", but It looks like we are going to have to keep waiting, after a while I decided I was going to give this book a chance and I have to say it was not what I expected, in a good way, and I was surprised.

Desde que Stephenie anuncio este libro debido al aniversario de "Crepúsculo" (¡No puedo creer que hayan pasado diez años!) hubo muchas criticas y comentarios negativos, me incluyo en ellos, todos esperábamos que por fin publicará "Sol de medianoche", pero parece que vamos a tener que seguir esperando, después de un tiempo decidí que iba a darle una oportunidad a este libro y tengo que decir que no fue lo que esperaba, de una buena manera, y me sorprendió.

"Life and Death" invites us to return, once again to the world that Stephenie created and with which we (many of us) fell in love, although this book tells us the story of Edward and Bella in "Twilight", in a different way. since its author decided to give it a change by reversing the roles of its protagonists, to show us that Bella was not just a damsel in distress and was stronger than many criticized her. In "Life and death" we meet Beau, this clumsy and normal boy, who is forced to move to Forks, a place he hates and where he meets a strange girl who is different from the rest of the population, Edythe Cullen this girl "perfect" and enigmatic, of which he is attracted to her the moment he meets her, but Beau does not know that Edythe and her family hide a secret that could endanger his life...

"Vida y Muerte" nos invita a volver, una vez más al mundo que Stephenie creo y del cual nos enamoramos (muchos de nosotros), si bien este libro nos narra la historia de Edward y Bella en "Crepúsculo", de una manera diferente ya que su autora decidió darle un cambio al invertir los roles de sus protagonistas, para demostrarnos que Bella no era solo una damisela en apuros y era más fuerte de los que muchos la criticaban. En "Vida y muerte" conocemos a Beau, este chico torpe y normal, que se ve obligado a mudarse a Forks un lugar al que odia y donde se encuentra con una extraña chica que es diferente al resto de la población, Edythe Cullen esta chica "perfecta" y enigmática, de la cual se siente atraído por ella al momento de conocerla, pero Beau no sabe que Edythe y su familia esconden un secreto que puede poner en peligro su vida...

I read "Twilight" when I was 16 years old, and I fell in love with that book, I was completely obsessed with them and as I had said, they came into my life when I felt alone and he was that friend I needed, after so many years reading "Life and Death" was a little, like reuniting with my first love. One of the hardest things about reading this book was the fact that, there were a lot of dialogues that I already knew by heart and I wasn't reading anymore, I was just reciting them. The first time I read Twilight I fell in love with this book, but when I read "Life and Death" although I liked it, I couldn't get caught up in the same way, as that book did, a few years ago. At first the characters confused me, since I didn't know who each one was, we only have the clue of the initial of the name and it took me a while to get used to seeing them in a different way.

Leí "Crepúsculo" cuando tenia 16años, y me enamore de ese libro, estaba completamente obsesionada con ellos y como había contado llego a mi vida cuando me sentía sola y fue ese amigo que necesitaba, después de tantos años leer "Vida y Muerte" fue un poco, como reencontrarme con mi primer amor. Una de las cosas más difíciles de leer este libro fue el hecho de que, había muchos diálogos que ya me sabia de memoria y ya no estaba leyendo solo los recitaba. La primera vez que leí Crepúsculo me enamore de este libros, pero cuando leí "Vida y Muerte" aunque me haya gustado, no logro atraparme de la misma manera, como lo hizo ese libro, hace unos años. Al principio me confundían los personajes, ya que no sabía quien era cada uno, solo tenemos la pista de la inicial del nombre y me costo acostumbrarme a verlos de una manera distinta.

Esta vez también me fue difícil conectarme con Beau y Edythe, no lograba ver a Beau como ese chico torpe y corriente, que necesitaban que lo salvaran todo el tiempo y más complicado fue leer como Edythe era esa persona "fuera de lo normal" que cambia su vida, no se si me explico bien, pero a medida que iba avanzando la historia me acostumbraba a ello y podía disfrutarla.

Both this story and the characters undergo a change, but basically we continue reading the story that many of us loved (or hated), the best thing about the book was that we can have new things, like different scenes and moments that we would have liked to read in the original version, for which in turn we read a new story.

Tanto esta historia como los personajes sufren un cambio, pero básicamente seguimos leyendo la historia que muchos amamos (o odiaron), lo mejor del libro fue que podemos tener cosas nuevas, como diferentes escenas y momentos que hubiéramos deseado leer en la versión original, por lo que a la vez leemos una nueva historia.

As always I loved the writing of Stephenie Meyer, she is one of my favorite authors, who immersed me in this literary and supernatural world, her way of writing is very fluid and manages to catch you with every word. Although this book is a way to show us that not only the girl can be a "damsel in distress" and like Belle, she was a strong and brave character in her story. It also shows us, a different ending, and how they affected the decisions and the change in the personality of the characters in the end. Although in "Life and Death" it summarizes us how it would have been if we had not had the four books of this story to see how Bella was preparing for her future.

"Life and Death" was going back to Forks once again and reconnecting with this story and meeting these "new" characters and at the same time being able to fall in love with them.

Como siempre ame la escritura de Stephenie Meyer, es una de mis autoras favoritas, quien me sumergió en este mundo literario y sobrenatural, su forma de escribir es muy fluida y logra atraparte con cada palabra. Si bien este libro es una manera de demostrarnos que no solo la chica puede ser una "damisela en apuros" y como Bella, fue un personaje fuerte y valiente en su historia. También nos muestra, un final diferente, y como afectaron las decisiones y el cambio en la personalidad de los personajes al final. Si bien en "Vida y Muerte" nos resume como hubiera sido si no hubiéramos tenido los cuatro libros de esta historia para ver como Bella se preparaba para su futuro.

"Vida y Muerte" fue volver a Forks una vez más y reencontrarnos con esta historia y conocer a estos "nuevos" personajes y a la vez poder enamorarnos de ellos.

PHRASES "Seriously though, this wasn't a life situation and death was just high school. It's not like someone was going to bite me." "She was the fantasy and I was the more mundane guy in reality" "I was the kid who seemed like he was good at basketball until he started walking." PUNCTUATION: If you loved "Twilight" and got mad at Stephenie Meyer for this book, I recommend that you give this book a chance, it will surprise you.. And although it wasn't my obsession as it was years ago, I enjoyed reading it and being able to return to the places I love the most in this story and at the same time find new things.

And I don't lose hope that some
day it is announced that "Midnight Sun" will be published.

Y si bien no fue mi obsesión como lo fue hace años, disfrute de leerlo y poder volver a los lugares que más ame en esta historia y a la vez encontrarme con cosas nuevas..

Y no pierdo las esperanzas que algún
día se anuncie que "Sol de Medianoche" se publique.
