Good morning everyone,
I bring to you my recent painting which I titled sunrise in the woods and my source is from here . The drawing shows the sun rising and a swing handing on a tree with grass beneath. I decided to keep practicing painting as its not easy using oil pastel on canvas but those are the materials I have at the moment. Also I need to learn more about the concept of landscape paintings more so here is one of my practice painting.
MATERIALS USED
- Oil pastel crayons
- Canvas sketchpad
- Charcoal pencil
- HB pencil
PROCESS
For the drawing, I first sketch out the tree using HB pencil then I started shading using red, orange and yellow crayons. Initially I wanted to blend them but I noticed it wasn't working on the canvas as blending it was causing the colors to peel from the surface. So I just shade on the previous color instead of blending together.
