Pages From My Sketchbook - Shattered

Greetings

Another portrait. All emotion. All love. No hate.

Sometimes it is the sharp edges and broken bits that make a thing interesting. Drawing this was a journey in itself. If I could figure out a way to get tinfoil to stick to paper, it would have looked so much better. Maybe I will upgrade it sometime, maybe I will burn another batch of drawings, you just never know. 😅

Just a little preview, I often draw a few things at the same time. Sometimes you need to take a break from a drawing while still drawing. (I am so addicted)

This one took a bit more planning than my usual things. I started with a rough sketch, focusing on where my darkest areas would go, then added the mirror part over that. (This made figuring out where to put cracks much easier.)

Working from dark to light, I added details one at a time. (last time I attempted drawing everything then colouring it...it was a bit confusing and mistakes were made...)

The background is the only part I do not like, it has to be silver...I might obsess over finding something create this effect.

Of course, the mirror needed a frame...barbed wire felt right.

Three attempts at getting decent pictures...the storm isn't helping.

Just a random picture of my creepy little face. I like the new haircut and colour...think I should go back to blue though.

Well that's it for now. Till next time!
