Sketchbook 004 - Just going with it!

in Sketchbook4 months ago

Greetings from my strange little corner of the world!

Last week was pretty intense...just a blur of activity. There was laughter, tears, interesting conversations, unbelievable connections made and things just generally manifesting and starting to fall in place.
But, that is a story for later...maybe.

This week's drawing is just a quick thing I created without really knowing where it was going to go or what it was going to be. (It started out as just basic pose practice.)

This is just the usual process, maybe it'll be useful or interesting. Hopefully.

Just some basic guides, I like to divide the image into eights for some reason.

Adding a stick 'skeleton'...

After that it is pretty easy to start adding details and fleshing out the figure.

...a few more details...

Decided to add wings because I just like drawing wings on everything...they just make things look more interesting.

Clearly, I was having too much fun and just messing around, so this happened.

Lined everything in ink and cleaned things up a bit.

Added some line weight and a hint of shading to make it look less flat and boring.

It still felt like it needed something. so I added a little bit of colour, using acrylic paint. Drawing and painting this was very relaxing! Need to do a stressful challenging one next...

And that's it!

Till next time!

How to make an angel out of a person? In the drawing you just need to draw wings for him. It's a pity that life is not like that...
Cool drawing!👍

Thank you! Yes, it would have been great if we could just draw wings for ourselves and others if we wanted to become angels. 😁 Have a great day.

The wings tell many stories 😊 I hope you feeling better after drawing this one

Indeed they do! Thank you! 😁 Feel much better now. Thanks for the kind words. Have a great day.

Very beautiful 😻

😁Thank you!!

I love this ! I think it's the expression on her face that makes it work so well.

Thank you! Yes, didn't want her to look too happy. 😁

This is stunning. Love how you detailed every step of the process. I've always found it fascinating how where you creative people start and what you end up creating. Truly mesmerizing to me.

Thank you so much! Remembering to take photos of the steps is usually the most difficult part as I tend to get lost in the process and don't really know what I'm doing till it starts to take shape. Glad you enjoyed it. 😁

That makes total sense and well done for remembering 😊
