Well, yeah, colored pencil artwork takes a long time to do. But I wasn't doing it to mimic the look of oil. I just wanted to use the pencils I had and do shit during those times when I was between jobs. I also had these books about colored pencil art, so it seemed like a good thing to do with my time, to kill the boredom of being jobless for several months.
True that, after all, everyone should use the medium they like or what's convenient for them at the time.
