I'll tell you, one of the features that I like the most in the characters are the seams or scars. Beyond its aesthetics and design (which always look incredible to me) there are things like the character's history, the cause of their injuries, and the mostly eccentric personality, which give these types of characters a certain mystery and for me they are really striking.
As for example: chucky the diabolical doll that was destroyed several times and we saw him returning with a new look in "the bride of chucky" presenting his distinctive stitching (although as maniac as ever) that were caused by one of his antics in a park amusement.
There is also the example of sally from "nightmare before christmas" that according to various theories (of fans) that I read; In that world, each character is represented the way in which she died, in Sally's case it seems to be dismemberment, that's why it looks like a broken doll to which they "sewed" again.
Anyway, since I have not done any character of this style, I decided to do one, at least part of it, I wanted to give it a somewhat melancholic and stoic style, as if she had suffered so much that she did not take into account that her scars open.
I had already tried something like this a few years ago but I did not like the result. A few days ago I found the old drawing and was motivated to "redraw" it.
Les cuento, uno de los rasgos que mas me gustan en los personajes son las costuras o cicatrices. mas alla de su estética y diseño (que para mi se ven siempre increíble) hay cosas como la historia del personaje, la causa de sus heridas, y la personalidad mayormente exentrica, que le dan a este tipo de personajes cierto misterio y para mi son realmente llamativos.
Como por ejemplo: chucky el muñeco diabolico que fue destruido varias veces y lo vimos regresando con nuevo look en "la novia de chucky" presentando sus distintivas costuras (aunque tan maniático como siempre) que fueron ocasionadas por una de sus travesuras en un parque de diversiones.
También está el ejemplo de sally de "pesadilla antes de navidad" que según varias teorías (de fans) que leí; en ese mundo, cada personaje esta representada la manera en la que murió, en el caso de sally parece ser desmembramiento, por eso parece una muñeca hecha pedazos a la cual "cosieron" de nuevo.
En fin, como no he hecho ningún personaje de este estilo decidí hacer uno, al menos una parte, quise darle un estilo algo melancólico y estoico, como si hubiera sufrido tanto que no tomara en cuenta que sus cicatrices se abran.
Ya hace unos años habia intentado algo así pero no me gustó el resultado. Hace unos días encontré el dibujo antiguo y me motivé a "rehacerlo".
