Painting from life with process: Grapes

Hi all, sharing with you a recent painting from life study of grapes. This was an interesting exercise in capturing the reflections of the light source on the different grapes. Although they all look similar they all have variations in purples, reds, oranges or even greys depending on where the light reached and also made it important in capturing the realism. I wanted them to appear almost as if you could pick them up from the paper and eat them.

Completed using acylics on paper over several hours.
