Posiblemente el más hermoso de los buitres americanos. Se impone a los más pequeños zamuros y oripopos. Con su fuerte pico tiene la capacidad de rasgar la piel de los grandes animales y abre el festín para los demás carroñeros. Se distribuye desde México hasta el norte de Argentina. En Venezuela se lo puede hallar, con baja densidad, en todo el territorio, excepto alturas superiores a 1200 m.s.n.m.
Possibly the most beautiful of the American vultures. It towers over the smaller vultures and orioles. With its strong beak it has the ability to tear the skin of large animals and opens the feast for other scavengers. It is distributed from Mexico to the north of Argentina. In Venezuela it can be found, with low density, in all the territory, except heights higher than 1200 m.a.s.l.

El dibujo está realizado sobre una hoja de papel Bond de 33 x 22 cm. Utilice para el boceto lápiz 2B. El entintado con bolígrafos de dibujo de 0.05, 0.10 y 0.5 mm. La técnica usada es una combinación de achurado y puntillismo. Espero les guste.
The drawing is made on a 33 x 22 cm sheet of Bond paper. Use 2B pencil for the sketch. The inking with drawing pens of 0.05, 0.10 and 0.5 mm. The technique used is a combination of flattening and pointillism. I hope you like it.
