I was inspired to make manga-style art for a minute so I thought of putting my OCs in one frame. This year, I made two characters namely Sharky and Frog Prince. Normally, they wear the jumpsuits. This time I want them in real-world-ish scenarios. π Sorry I am so noob at explaining things.
So my plan was just two panels (I am not sure what is that called). I will just say two spaces, haha! The upper part is Sharky smiling and then on the bottom is Frog Prince was wonderstruck by Sharky. I used a pressured pen on the lineart but I felt like still using a solid brush, but overall, it turned out great. I am still deciding whether I will use a soft brush or a solid brush on all of my art.
Next is setting the base colors. I chose unsaturated colors compared to their original colors. I felt like FP is a bit pale here. π Next, my favorite part was putting the blushes on both of the characters. It feels like I put the emotions in their faces. π I put a thinking bubble, but I do not know what to put, to be honest! There is something in my mind but I feel like it is cheesy! π§
Final Art
Here I applied the colors for the background. I feel like I have to connect the colors with what they were feeling at that moment. Then I put little details like the leaves to show some motions.
Maybe next time I will put some words on the thinking bubble. or maybe you can help me out, haha. π
