Recuerdo con alegría los días de la niñez, cuando mi abuela se sentaba a tejer y a tomar café mientras me sentaba a su lado para contarme las historias que, de en boca en boca fueron entrelazando nuestros antepasados, en relación con el río.
Así fue como los mitos, las historias ancestrales, y la leyenda del Pez Sapoara. Fueron poblando mi memoria, a medida que mi ingenua imaginación dibuja en un cuadernito, todas las emociones que sus trémulas palabras me suscitaba.
Indudablemente, que al referirme a tales palabras puedo evocar con interés, cuando me decía: que todos los años, al comenzar la época de lluvia, en el primer pase de luna llena. El río se desnuda y se baña bajo la lluvia para lavar con la espuma todas las malas energías.
También, decía: que cada 27 días la novia del río aparece entre las aguas, para matizar sus cuencas, con el fin de fertilizar a una doncella sin necesidad de ser acariciada por un hombre.
Hubo una época en que los pobladores ribereños, con su sabiduría patrimonial. Nos enseñaban a caminar y a navegar, para comprender los complejos procesos de la relación hombre-naturaleza.
Sin embargo, hoy tenemos una deuda infinita, en el manejo sostenible de estos lares. Ya que la composición bío-físico –química del río ha sido modificada de manera drástica y las consecuencias se pueden apreciar a simple vista.

Huellas.
He contemplado las huellas del río sobre tu piel desnuda que ríe, llora y sueña.
Aún con las pupilas bañadas de brumas, me adentré en el umbral en cuya morada se vencen las sombras para impregnarme de luz y navegar en la preñez del verbo, donde los matices entretejen la impronta del cenit.

Traces of the river / ESP-ENG
I remember with joy the days of childhood, when my grandmother would sit knitting and drinking coffee while I sat next to her to tell me the stories that, by word of mouth were intertwined by our ancestors, in relation to the river.
This is how myths, ancestral stories, and the legend of the Sapoara Fish. They were populating my memory, as my naive imagination draws in a notebook, all the emotions that his tremulous words aroused in me.
Undoubtedly, when referring to such words I can evoke with interest, when he told me: that every year, at the beginning of the rainy season, at the first full moon. The river gets naked and bathes under the rain to wash away all the bad energies with the foam.
Also, it said: that every 27 days the bride of the river appears among the waters, in order to fertilize a maiden without the need to be caressed by a man.
There was a time when the river dwellers, with their patrimonial wisdom, taught us how to walk and navigate. They taught us to walk and navigate, to understand the complex processes of the man-nature relationship.
