Hair colors make the face look paler and that makes the lips stand out more. Also, the strands of hair in the right eye which with the help of a fine brush I was able to detail, and other factors make it one of my favorite portraits.
This statement sum up what I can see in this artwork. The lighter tone in the face indeed draws out the viewers attention to lips. Aside from that, the eyes speaks. Overall, another good work.
