Hola a todos! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Por mi parte tengo dos semanas que no aparezco por aquí y es que he estado super ocupada trabajando en las comunidades y eso me ha dejado muy agotada pero contenta con algunas resultados que les quiero compartir.
Hello everyone! I hope you are all feeling well. I haven't been here for two weeks and I've been super busy working on the communities and that has left me very exhausted but happy with some results that I want to share with you.
Uno de los últimos proyectos que realizamos fue un mural en Petare en la comunidad de la Machaca. Yo no había ido a esta zona hasta ahora porque normalmente habíamos estado trabajando en San Blas que queda al lado. Igualmente ya conocía a la líder comunitaria, Silvana, que nos apoyo con todo lo que debíamos hacer y consiguió todo el apoyo de los niños y jóvenes para lograr este hermoso proyecto.
One of the last projects we did was a mural in Petare in the community of La Machaca. I had not been to this area until now because normally we had been working in San Blas which is next door. I also already knew the community leader, Silvana, who supported us with everything we had to do and got all the support of the children and young people to achieve this beautiful project.
Este mural lo realizamos en la fachada de esta casa que esta en la calle principal de la zona y queda en todo el frente cuando uno va llegando por lo que todas las personas que pasen por allí lo verán. Lo primero fue trazar las lineas del diseño que teníamos. Este patrón de lineas lo pensó mi compañera mariana y yo lo llevé a cabo. También debíamos reparar unos huecos que tenia la pared para poder abarcar toda el área con la pintura.
We made this mural on the facade of this house that is on the main street of the area and is in the whole front when one is coming so that all the people who pass by there will see it. The first thing was to draw the lines of the design we had. This pattern of lines was thought by my partner Mariana and I carried it out. We also had to repair some holes in the wall to be able to cover the whole area with paint.
Los niños mas pequeños nos ayudaron con las lineas y la franja de abajo, ellos tenían muchas ganas de participar. Mientras que los niños mas grandes nos apoyaron con la parte superior y los detalles entre las lineas. Todo el mural nos tomó un total de tres días pero gracias al trabajo de todos el resultado fue maravilloso.
The younger children helped us with the lines and the bottom stripe, they were very eager to participate. While the older children helped us with the top part and the details between the lines. The whole mural took us a total of three days but thanks to everyone's work the result was wonderful.
Para completar el mural agregamos el articulo 27 de los Derechos Humanos que dice así: “Toda persona tiene derecho a tomar parte libremente en la vida cultural de la comunidad, a gozar de las artes y a participar en el progreso científico y en los beneficios que de él resulten.”
To complete the mural we add Article 27 of the Human Rights which reads: "Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits".
Utilizamos los derechos humanos porque es parte de lo que se promueve en la ONG Compromiso Compartido dentro de las comunidades en las que trabaja. Para finalizar coloqué el logo de la organización y el nombre de la comunidad en letras bien grandes.
We used human rights because it is part of what is promoted in the NGO Compromiso Compartido within the communities in which it works. Finally, I placed the logo of the organization and the name of the community in large letters.
Esta es la foto de todos los jóvenes que nos ayudaron a terminar el mural. Los mas pequeños ese día no asistieron porque ya no podían ayudar mucho con los detalles finales.
This is the photo of all the young people who helped us finish the mural. The youngest ones did not attend that day because they could not help much with the final details.
