Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Sketch 7#

in Sketchbook5 years ago (edited)

Hi community, how are you? I hope you are always healthy. Spending hours just to make a work and to distribute hobbies is certainly a useful thing.

Like me tonight who spent the time to make a sketch of one of the world leaders, current turkish president.

You know for yourself how his recent story has invited pros and cons, especially about the historic building of Hagia Sophia that finally made me interested in capturing his sketches on this blockchain. I present to you Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As usual, I use 2B graphite pencil and HVS paper as drawing media and here is the process.

The stages

Stage 1

With the help of lines and assist points, I make facial, mouth, eye, nose and hairline lines. Lines and assist points really helped me to determine the results of a sketch and to keep a drawing proportion.

Stage 2

At this stage, I emphasize a line which in my opinion is already proportional and I begin to form a curve of the face.

Stage 3

I began to shape an object's neck and clothing, so that a sketches looked more volume.

Final stage

At this final stage I began shading, to give an impression of results that seemed more real and I finally completed this sketch drawing.

To complete this sketch, I spent about 2 hours.

As I mentioned in previous post, some lines are actually not needed, but because I don't use an eraser, so I leave it. You can certainly see which parts are excess lines (like the right cheek, and I try to compare it with background shading), but I still hold the sentence "sketch doesn't need eraser", so here it is.
