¡Hola Hivers! Esta ilustración es la primera que hago para esta comunidad. Me inspiré en la pintura renacentista EL Nacimiento de Venus de Sandro Botticelli. Mezclando varios estilos entre los cuales use el Impresionismo, Realismo, Art Nouveau bajo un concepto bastante estilizado. Comencé formando la figura principal prácticamente sin boceto, solo creando formas y manchas con el pincel con los colores bases para tener una idea de los volúmenes, tonos y contrastes como en una pintura tradicional.
Hi Hivers! This illustration is my first one for this community. I was inspired by the renaissance painting The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli. Mixing several styles among which I used Impressionism, Realism, Art Nouveau under a very stylized concept. I started forming the main figure with practically no sketch, just creating shapes and stains with the brush with the base colors to get an idea of the volumes, tones and contrasts as in a traditional painting.
Al tener definido el personaje principal de Venus me enfoqué en los objetos que complementaran la obra. Quería destacar el rostro del personaje agregándole corona al fondo que pronto cambio a una especie de sol, al mismo tiempo sigo agregando elementos como las palomas blancas para que representaran pureza y contrastaran con el resto de la imagen que ya tenía en mente sería muy colorida, La ostra siendo un elemento característico de la obra original no podía faltar aunque con cambios decidí darle un movimiento para balancear la pintura acorde a Venus y finalizando con el fondo muy inspirado en el art nouveau mezclado con trazos que recuerdan un poco las pinturas de Van Gogh use círculos concéntricos centrados en el eje principal del rostro del personaje use el mismo eje para guiar los rayos dorados del sol con la intención de captar la mirada hacia el rostro de Venus.
A este punto solo tenía que afinar detalles, corregir tonos y contrastes a mi gusto.
Having defined the main character of Venus, I focused on the objects that would complement the work. I wanted to highlight the face of the character by adding a crown to the background that soon changed to a kind of sun, at the same time I kept adding elements such as the white doves to represent purity and contrast with the rest of the image that I already had in mind would be very colorful, The oyster being a characteristic element of the original work could not be missing although with changes I decided to give it a movement to balance the painting according to Venus and finishing with the background very inspired in art nouveau mixed with strokes that remind a little of Van Gogh's paintings I used concentric circles centered in the main axis of the face of the character I used the same axis to guide the golden rays of the sun with the intention of capturing the look towards the face of Venus.
At this point I just had to fine tune details, correct tones and contrasts to my liking.
