UP AND GRATEFUL

I woke up from a dream.
A dream filled with lots of pain and agony.
A dream that felt like a journey.
A journey in search of a droplet.
Just a drop, to quench this burning fire in me.

I woke up from a dream.
Where I was dinning with the unknown.
As I was slowly engulfed by my own fears.
Served with expectations as desert
I dined on these expectations, gradually loosing track of time.

I woke up from a dream
As warm as my mother's hug
As comforting as her touch.
As pleasant her voice
A dream I wish not to wake up from.
