Despite the bad reviews that accompany every big-screen appearance, Lundgren remains one of Hollywood's most popular tough guys.

Dolph Lundgren was born in Stockholm, Sweden on November 3, 1957.

When he was 14 years old, he began to practice karate. In 1980 he became the captain of the Swedish karate team. Also that year, he won the European heavyweight title in Kyokushin Karate. In 1982 he won the Australian Championship.

At the beginning of his career, the future actor starred in an advertisement for sports equipment. Dolph's first major role was the role of the Soviet boxer Drago in the sports drama Rocky 4. In Sweden, he studied mathematics, chemistry and physics and, as an excellent student, received a scholarship from one of the American universities. He is a polyglot, knows English, French, German and even... Japanese.
