Good morning, my dear readers and members of the #Hive community. Happy Friday to everyone! I hope you've all had an excellent and productive week, as I have. Once again, your friend Manuel here is super happy to share a new artistic post for my blog. This time, I bring you an illustration that I was working on full-time until just a couple of hours ago. This time, I wanted to invent a character who was something like a tomb raider, whom I decided to name (Airelys). She was raised in the underworld since she was a child, surrounded by thieves and bandits, and as expected, over time she became one of them. It turns out that a few years ago, Airelys was told about a strange and priceless golden dagger that belonged to an ancient emperor who had died a few years earlier. This dagger was hidden in an underground tomb, heavily guarded so that no one would try to take it, But this would not stop the intrepid and fierce Airelys:
Muy buenos días mis queridos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad de #Hive, feliz viernes para todos y espero que esta haya sido una excelente y productiva semana para todos ustedes al igual que lo fue para mí, por aquí los saluda una vez mas su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión les traigo una ilustración en la cual estuve trabajado a full hasta hace solo un par de horas, esta vez quise inventarme un personaje que fuese algo así como una especie de saqueadora de tumbas a la cual decidí nombrar como (Airelys), la cual desde niña fue criada en los bajos mundos, rodeada de ladrones y bandidos, y como era de esperarse con el tiempo se volvió una mas de ellos; resulta que hace algunos años atrás a (Airelys) le fue contada una información sobre una extraña e invaluable daga de oro, la cual perteneció a un antiguo emperador el cual murió pocos años antes, esta daga se encontraba oculta en una tumba subterránea, fuertemente custodiada para que nadie intentara apoderarse de ellas, pero esto no detendría a la intrépida y feroz (Airelys):

To begin with, I focused on creating a sketch for (Airelys), giving her a fairly youthful appearance, as if she were around 20 years old, with a slim build, but with a cold and determined gaze capable of intimidating anyone. Once the sketch was finished, I had to focus on choosing the colors that would shape my drawing. In this case, I wanted to start with the skin and work with slightly redder tones than usual. I began by building the shape and volume of the character's skin, and in this case, the airbrush and watercolor were very useful.
Para empezar, me centre en construir un boceto para (Airelys) dándole una apariencia bastante juvenil, como de unos 20 años de edad, con apariencia delgadas, pero con una mirada tan fría y determinada capaz de intimidar a quien sea. Una vez terminado el boceto tuve que centrarme en elegir los colores que darían forma a mi dibujo, en este caso quise empezar por la piel y trabajar con tonalidades un poco mas rojizas que las habituales, empecé construyendo la forma y volumen de la piel del personaje, en este caso el aerógrafo y la acuarela me resultaron muy útiles.
In the case of (Airelys)'s eyes, I wanted to use slightly bluer tones to create contrast, but above all to give this character a unique touch. I created the base with sky blue tones and then gradually worked on the highlights around the edges, shadows, and so on. For the hair, I decided to use slightly lighter pink tones to create a long, slightly wavy hairstyle around the neck. Here, of course, I used the watercolor brush again along with my bristle brush to texturize the strands.
En el caso de la mirada de (Airelys), quise usar tonos un poco mas azulados para contrastar, pero sobre todo para darle un toque único a este personaje, con los azules celestres cree la base y luego poco a poco fui trabajando los brillos de los bordes, sombras y demás. Para el trabajo del cabello decidí usar unos tonos un poco mas rosados claros para crear una peinado largo y levemente ondulados en la zona del cuello, aquí por supuesto usé de nuevo el pincel de acuarela junto con mi pincel de cerdas para texturizar los mechones.
For painting the clothing, use colors such as fuchsia and brown. With the fuchsia tones, create what would be the base of the dress that would cover most of her body, and with the brown tones, create lines of fabric that would complement her outfit. In this case, adjust the opacity down a little to achieve transparency in these fabrics. To create the Golden Dagger, I started with a base of saturated orange tones and a little yellow. Here, I applied the strokes with my flat brush and my square brush to achieve a slightly more rigid texture and the characteristic shine of this precious metal. Finally, as a complementary touch for the dagger, I decided to create a little blood running down the blade of the dagger to give the idea that he uses this weapon to kill the guards guarding the emperor's tomb.
Para el pintado de la ropa use tonos como el fucsia y el marrón, con los tonos fucsia cree lo que seria la base del vestido que cubriría la mayor parte de su cuerpo, y con los tonos marrones cree líneas de tela que sirvieran como complemento para su atuendo, en este caso ajuste un poco la opacidad hacia abajo para lograr transparencia en estas telas. Para la creación de la Daga de Oro empecé con una base de tonos naranjas saturados y un poco de amarillo, aquí aplique los trazos con mi pincel plano y mi pincel cuadrado para conseguir así una textura un poco mas rígida y unos brillos bastante característicos de este metal precioso; finalmente y como toque complementaria para la daga decidí crear un poco Sangre corriendo por la hoja de la daga, esto para dar la idea de que uso esta arma para acabar con los guardias que custodiaban la tumba del emperador.
