Good morning, my dear readers and members of the #Hive artistic community. Happy Sunday to everyone reading this on this beautiful morning. I hope you are all doing well. Your friend Manuel is here once again, delighted to bring you a new artistic post for my blog. This time I bring you an illustration that I finished just last night, in which I wanted to depict a kind of alien girl whom I named Darijah, someone with unique abilities, including the creation of large violet flames that shoot out of her hands and are capable of incinerating everything they touch for several hours. My idea with this illustration was basically that Darijah was competing in a kind of tournament or Coliseum, fighting for her life against the most ruthless warriors and creatures in the galaxy:
Muy buenos días mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad artística de #Hive, feliz domingo para todos los que se encuentran leyéndome por aquí en este mañana y espero que se encuentren super bien, por aquí los saluda una nueva ocasión su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder traerles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. Este vez les traigo una ilustración la cual termine apenas anoche, y en la cual quise realizar una ilustración sobre una especie de chica alíen a la cual llame por el nombre de (Darijah), alguien con habilidades únicas, entre ellas la creación de grandes flamas violetas cuales brotan de sus manos, y las cuales son capaces de incinerar todo lo que toquen durante varias horas; mi idea con esta ilustración básicamente era que (Darijah) estuviese compitiendo en una especie de torneo o Coliseum, luchando por su vida contra los guerreros y criaturas mas despiadadas de la galaxia:
PROCESS / PROCESO
The first step was to start with the sketch for the character (Darijah). In this case, I drew her with a slim appearance, long hair, and long, thin ears. As a characteristic feature, I adjusted her pose by raising her arms slightly as if in a defensive position, with her fingers spread as if she were preparing to shoot fire from them. When I finished the sketch, I moved directly on to the coloring process. In this case, I used violet tones as the base for her skin, applying only the airbrush and watercolor at medium opacity to work the lights and shadows subtly.
Lo primero fue iniciar con el boceto para el personaje de (Darijah), en este caso la dibuje con una apariencia delgada, de cabello largo, con largas y finas orejas, y como rasgo característico ajuste su pose alzando levemente sus brazos como en una posición defensiva, con sus dedos abiertos como si se preparara para generar fuego de ellos. Al terminar con el boceto me pase directamente al proceso de coloreado, en este caso use tonalidades violetas como base para su piel, en este caso solo aplique el pincel de aerógrafo y la acuarela a una opacidad media para trabajar las luces y sombras sutilmente.
In the second part, I focused on giving (Darijah) a little personality. In this case, my idea was to make her eyes slightly narrowed to give the character a bit of seriousness. I used gray tones for the base and fuchsia and pink tones for the inner part of the iris, pupil, and so on. For the hair, I wanted to create a bit of contrast with the skin, so I used grayish purples as a base and then moved on to brighter, more saturated purples. In this case, I applied a layer of strokes with my bristle brush to give the hair a realistic surface texture.
En la 2da parte me centre en darle un poco de personalidad a (Darijah), en este caso mi idea era que la mirada estuviese un poco entrecerrada para darle un poco de seriedad al personaje, en este caso use tonos grises para la base, y tonos con fucsia y rosa para la parte interna del iris, pupila y demás. En el caso del cabello quise contrastar un poco con la piel, es por ello que use de base unos morados grisáceos y de ahí partí y escale hacia morados un poco mas brillantes y saturado, en este caso aplique una capa de trazos con mi pincel de cerdas para darle una textura superficial y realista al cabello.
In the third stage, I focused on creating the clothing, and as with the hair, I wanted to contrast it slightly with the colors of the other parts. In this case, I created a long dress that fit Darijah's silhouette with watery blue tones. Here, I used a square-tipped brush with greater opacity to better define the texture. Finally, to create the fire in Darijah's hands, I formed small flames inside each other. I started with a medium purple and gradually scaled up the violets until I had a bright flame in the center. To make the fire look more realistic, I blended each flame very well and added a layer of airbrush in SHINE mode.
En la 3ra etapa me dedique a construir la vestimenta, y al igual que con el pelo también con su atuendo quise contrastar un poco con los colores de las demás partes, en este caso cree un traje largo ajustado a la silueta de (Darijah) con tonos azules acuosos, aquí si use un pincel de punta cuadrada con mayor opacidad, esto pues quiera definir mejor la textura. Finalmente, para crear el fuego en las manos de (Darijah), forme pequeñas flamas una dentro de la otra, empecé con un morado medio y poco a poco escale los violetas hasta tener una flama brillante en el centro; para que el fuego tuviese esa apariencia más realista difumine muy bien cada flama y agregue una capa de aerógrafo en modo (SHINE).
