For those of you who don't know me yet, let me introduce myself. My name is Manuel, and I would like to welcome you to my art blog. Today, I bring you an illustration that I have been working on for the last couple of days. It is a work with a theme of witches and sorcery, in which I wanted to represent a cunning and powerful sorceress whom I decided to name Ivannah, an expert in black magic and forbidden magic. It is said that with just a slight wave of her wand, she can channel enough energy to destroy a hundred people in the blink of an eye. But despite her great power, the passing of the years takes its toll, and for decades Ivannah has been researching a spell that will allow her to achieve eternal life. This spell requires the sacrifice of something very precious to the person who uses it, but Ivannah is prepared to pay the price:
Muy buenos días mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad artística de #Hive, feliz viernes para todos los que me leen por aquí en este día, y espero que se encuentren super bien, para quienes aun no me conozcan pues me presento, mi nombre es Manuel y me gustaría darle la bienvenida a mi blog de arte. En esta oportunidad les traigo una ilustración en la cual estuve trabajando el ultimo par de días, se trata de una obra con temática de brujas y hechicería, en ella quise representar a una astuta y poderosa hechicera la cual decidí llamar con el nombre de (Ivannah), una experta en la magia negra y magia prohibida, se dice que con solo mover levemente su varita canaliza la energía suficiente para destruir a un centenar de personas en un abrir y cerrar de ojos; pero a pesar de su gran poder, el paso de los años no perdona, y desde hace décadas (Ivannah) se ha dedicado a investigar sobre un hechizo que le permita lograr la vida eterna, este hechizo requiere del sacrificio de algo muy preciado para quien lo use, pero (Ivannah) esta preparada para pagar el precio:

In this case, I sketched Ivannah, giving her the appearance of a woman aged around 30-40, with long, straight hair falling to the sides, dressed in slightly elegant clothing covered with a large cape or tunic, and holding a magic wand in her left hand. For the coloring process this time, I started with a somewhat pinkish color palette. To do this, I used my watercolor brush and airbrush to work on the texture and give the skin a little volume.
En este caso realice el boceto de (Ivannah), dándole una apariencia como de mujer de unos 30-40 años de edad, con una cabellera larga y lisa hacia los lados, con una vestimenta un poco elegante cubierta con una gran capa o túnica, y en su mano izquierda dibuje una barita mágica. Para el proceso de coloreado esta vez comencé con una paleta de colores un tanto rosados, para esto me ayudé un poco de mi pincel de acuarela y mi pincel de aerógrafo para trabajar bien la textura y darle un poco de volumen a la piel.
For the eyes, I wanted to give (Ivannah) a rather serious look and a slightly grumpy expression. For the inner part of the eyes, I used shades such as dark purple and purple to create the details from the inside and adjust the highlights in the direction of the magic wand. For the hair, I started with a dark gray, but I decided to scale up a bit towards reddish grays to work on the relief of the hair. This took me a couple of layers, and when I finally achieved the volume I wanted, I moved on to what would be the final texturing of the strands. For this, I took my 3-point brush and began to create superficial strands of hair with medium opacity.
Para el trabajo de los ojos quise imprimirle a (Ivannah) una mirada bastante seria y una expresión un poco malhumorada, en el caso de la parte interna de los ojos usé tonos como morado oscuro y el purpura para ir creando los detalles desde la parte interna y acomodando los brillos en dirección hacia donde se encuentra la varita mágica. Para el trabajo del pelo comencé con un gris oscuro, pero decidí escalar un poco hacia los grises rojizos para ir trabajando el relieve del pelo, este me llevo un par de capas, y cuando finalmente lograr el volumen que yo quería me pase a lo que seria el trabajo final de texturizado de los mechones, para esto tome mi pincel de 3 puntas y comencé a crear mechones de pelo superficiales a opacidad media.
In the case of the clothing, I decided to use a slightly greener color palette to create what would be the dress in the torso area of Ivannah's body. In this case, I wanted to work more with rough-textured brushes such as the airbrush to achieve a better effect. Then, to create the cape, I repeated the same brushes as before, but in this case I used slightly redder watermelon tones, as well as scarlet red for the details of the folds where the cape fabric bends. In the shoulder area, I used yellow tones for the gold details that join the cape and the dress. For the painting of the wand, I decided to follow a classic design for this type of magical object. I used brown and dark red tones to replicate a wood-like texture, making it a little finer at the top, but with slightly more irregular edges and contours to give it a more realistic look.
En el caso del aparatado de la ropa decidí usar una paleta de colores un poco mas verdosa para crear lo que seria el vestido en la zona del torso del cuerpo de (Ivannah), en este caso quise trabajar más con pinceles de textura áspera como el aerógrafo para lograr un mejor efecto; luego para la creación de la capa repetí los mismos pinceles de antes, pero en este caso use tonos un poco mas rojos sandia, también el rojo escarlata para lo que serian los detalles de los pliegues donde la tela de la capa se dobla, y en la zona de los hombros use tonos amarillos para los detalles de oro que unen la capa y el vestido. Para el pintado de la varita decidí seguir un diseño clásico de este tipo de objetos mágicos, usé tonos marrones y rojos oscuros para replicar una textura como de madera dejándola un poco mas fina en la parte de arriba, per con bordes y contornos un poco mas irregulares para darle un mejor realismo.
