Portrait drawing with three color || Did not expect it to be like this

Do, any of you remember how i said my blue pen was acting weird and leaving dots of thick ink behind and i wanted to try a different color. Well, i did that even though i have some new blue ball point pen.

I thought, if i am drawing a woman it would be better to select pink color for the skin so i did. and so far the drawing was good. Except pink is not a dark color. so no matter how much i tried it looked the same depth everywhere. more of less stroke didn't work for this one. That's why i switched to blue for the hair.

So, this was a failed attempt and i am not going to draw with pink or red, if i do, i will mix them all together to create better shading.

Here are some stupid process shots:

Have you ever tried redish color for portrait drawing? was it a success? let me know that and your thoughts in the comments.
