I used a reference photo. He is used to disguising to get different appearance in various movies.
I'll have to look this one up. I do not remember a film he did with dread locks.

By the way what do you mean by 'deep fake'? Never heard that before.
Deep fake uses AI technology to render a person's face onto another. Recently, someone did a deep fake of Mark Hamil's face onto a CG Luke Skywalker. It looked more realistic than the CG Luke Skywalker
There's also deep fake audio where people's voices are mimicked using AI. It is to the point where humans cannot tell the difference.
