Congratulations to Lionel Messi for winning his 8th Ballon d'Or. I anticipated it cause he was the favorite to get it ahead of Erling Haaland so it is not a surprise for me.
I know there are those who would say it is robbery due to Haaland's Champions league triumph and remarkable goals for the years, but I think what gave Messi the edge is his World Cup triumph.
It will take years for another player to reach that feat. Congratulations to him once again.
