A few weeks ago I did a post reviewing the series Euphoria and, I must say that I got attached to some characters, so, since I finished watching the first season I felt the need to make a fan art inspired by this series, although I didn't know very well which characters to choose. As I progressed with the second season, I was much more detailed with the scenes and also with the development of each character, for no one goes unnoticed the visual appeal that this series has in each chapter. Finally, I felt inspired to draw Cassie Howard reference link here, Maddy's best friend and Lexi's sister, although she is not one of the most precious characters, her story moves me, and I consider that the work the actress did to represent her is admirable.
Now, I will continue explaining the process of this drawing, I hope you enjoy it:
I tried to keep the sketch simple, I tried to modify some elements to adapt them to my drawing style and not end up doing something semi-realistic as it can happen to me. Once the drawing was defined, I changed brushes and outlined each part of it and then colored it with the base tones of skin and hair, and then defined the shadows with big stains.

I decided to make a change in this step, and that is, I didn't like the eyes and they weren't well drawn, so I changed their shape and then I felt calmer to continue working on the shadows and other details, especially in the hair, I love Cassie's hair waves, and I hoped that in my drawing they would look just as nice.
Again I faced other problems, this time, the shadows, I got some advice from someone close about them (@rishahp, say hi), I admit I had some confusions with the direction and sense where they should go along with some lights, but I tried to correct it as best I could.
Once satisfied, I did the background, drawing a few roses which I then copied and pasted all over the artboard and added a gaussian effect on this layer to blur it, and leave the portrait as the highlight in the drawing.
Although my favorite characters to draw are women, I don't know why I felt a little self-conscious with this drawing, I think I was afraid that I couldn't capture Cassie's image faithfully in my drawing style, that people who have seen this series wouldn't recognize this scene... But I feel proud with the result.

Hace unas semanas hice un post reseñando la serie de Euphoria y, debo decir que le agarré acariño a algunos personajes, por ello, desde que terminé de ver la primera temporada sentí una necesidad por hacer un fan art inspirado en esta serie, aunque no sabía muy bien de cuáles personajes escoger. Conforme avancé con la segunda temporada, fui mucho más detallista con las escenas y también con el desarrollo de cada personaje, para nadie pasa desapercibido el atractivo visual que esta serie tiene en cada capítulo. Finalmente, sentí inspiración para dibujar a Cassie Howard link de referencia aquí, la mejor amiga de Maddy y hermana de Lexi, aunque no es de los personajes más preciados, su historia me conmueve, y considero que el trabajo que hizo la actriz para representarla es admirable.
Ahora, continuaré explicando el proceso de este dibujo, espero que lo disfruten:
Traté de mantener el boceto simple, traté de modificar algunos elementos para adaptarlos a mi estilo de dibujo y no terminar haciendo algo semirealista como me puede suceder. Una vez definido el dibujo, cambié de pincel y delineé cada parte de él y luego lo coloreé con los tonos base de piel y cabello, y luego definí las sombras con grandes manchas.
Decidí hacer un cambio en este paso, y es que, los ojos no me gustaban ni estaban bien dibujados, así que cambié su forma y luego me sentí más tranquila para seguir trabajando en las sombras y otros detalles, especialmente en el cabello, me encantan las ondas de Cassie, y esperaba que en mi dibujo se vieran igual de bonitas.
De nuevo me enfrenté a otros problemas, esta vez, las sombras, recibí algunos consejos de alguien cercano sobre ellas (@rishahp, saluda) , admito que tuve algunas confusiones con la dirección y el sentido donde deberían ir junto con algunas luces, pero traté de corregirlo lo mejor que pude.
Una vez satisfecha, hice el fondo, dibujando unas cuantas rosas que luego copié y pegué en toda la mesa de trabajo y añadí un efecto gaussiano en esta capa para difuminarlo, y dejar el retrato como lo más destacable en el dibujo.
Aunque mi personaje predilecto para dibujar son mujeres, no sé por qué sentí un poco de cohibimiento con este dibujo, creo que temía no poder plasmar en mi estilo de dibujo la imagen de Cassie con fidelidad, que la gente que ha visto esta serie no pudiera reconocer esta escena... Pero me siento orgullosa con el resultado.

Yo también amo dibujar chicas, pero es verdad que siento cierta presión a la hora de retratar a alguien o a una escena, tengo el mismo miedo de que las personas no reconozcan el dibujo. En tu caso no te preocupes jajaja, vi la serie y antes de leer el título sabía que era Cassie, te quedó genial, no es mi personaje favorito, pero se reconoce el buen trabajo que hizo la actriz.
