Oh Boy! Ha pasado bastante desde aquellas vacaciones en las que logre subir varios dibujitos seguidos. ¿Cómo estás? Personita que se encuentra con mi post, espero que bien. Por otro lado, si es un mal día, espero que te entretengas con el dibujito que te presento.
Oh Boy! It's been a while since that vacation when I managed to upload several cartoons in a row. How are you? Little person who comes across my post, I hope well. On the other hand, if it's a bad day, I hope you'll be entertained by the cartoon I present to you.
Otro semestre de la Universidad ha pasado, así que era hora de volver a subir dibujitos. Espero lograr subir alguno durante el próximo semestre y no esperarme hasta las vacaciones para dibujar. Volviendo al tema del día de hoy. Muchas cosas han pasado y realmente llevaba tiempo pensando ¿y si intento pintar con lápices de colores? Ciertamente, era algo que me plantee en más de una ocasión, pero siempre que terminaba un dibujo a mano… me daba miedo arruinarlo por intentar pintarlo.
Esta vez, opte por dibujar algo mega simple, un chibi, pero centrándome en la cabeza más que nada. Mi objetivo, simple, pintar cabello. No quería un dibujo que me diera miedo pintar. Use colores marca Kores para realizar este dibujo ya que no tengo otros.
Another semester of college has passed, so it was time to upload some drawings again. I hope to be able to upload some during the next semester and not wait until the vacations to draw. Back to today's topic. Many things have happened and I really had been thinking for a long time, what if I try to paint with colored pencils? Certainly, it was something I thought about on more than one occasion, but whenever I finished a drawing by hand... I was afraid of ruining it by trying to paint it.
This time, I chose to draw something mega simple, a chibi, but focusing on the head more than anything else. My goal, simple, to paint hair. I didn't want a drawing that I would be afraid to paint. I used Kores brand colors to make this drawing since I don't have any others.
Cuando tuve la idea, opte por usar a mi querida Karla como sujeto de pruebas. El tener el cabello pintado de morado, por un lado, y negro por el otro me venía bastante bien para el experimento.
Primero comencé haciendo un sketch sencillo, realmente no tarde mucho, el dibujo es bastante pequeño, además de que quería hacer líneas suaves, poco notorias para que los colores no se combinaran tanto con el negro del grafito.
A pesar de querer hacer un dibujo simple y sin mucho detalle, al principio estaba quedando un poco fea, así que tuve que ser un poco detallista con el pelo y los ojos, debía darles forma, pero sin remarcar tanto la línea para después pasar al coloreado.
When I had the idea, I opted to use my dear Karla as a test subject. Having her hair painted purple on one side and black on the other suited me quite well for the experiment.
First I started by making a simple sketch, it didn't really take long, the drawing is quite small, besides I wanted to make soft lines, not very noticeable so that the colors didn't combine so much with the black of the graphite.
In spite of wanting to make a simple drawing without much detail, at the beginning it was looking a little ugly, so I had to be a little detailed with the hair and the eyes, I had to give them shape, but without emphasizing the line so much, and then move on to the coloring.
He de aclarar que no sé pintar, lo único que hice fue buscar en YouTube un par de videos sobre como pintar piel y cabello. El youtuber que en mi caso me llamo la atención, fue Esteban Art’s. Lo recomiendo, sus tutoriales fueron de mucha ayuda, al menos en mi caso.
Ahora bien, como pueden apreciar arriba, el dibujo ya había terminado de tomar forma. Tenía intenciones de remarcar un poco más y arreglar las proporciones y detallar el cabello, pero decidí detenerme. Nuevamente, no quería sentir ese miedo de pensar que podía arruinar un dibujo por pintarlo. Siento que eso fue lo más importante para poder agarrar el color y tras ver los videotutoriales, intentarlo.
I have to clarify that I don't know how to paint, the only thing I did was to look on YouTube for a couple of videos on how to paint skin and hair. The youtuber that caught my attention in my case was Esteban Art's. I recommend him, his tutorials were very helpful, at least in my case.
Now, as you can see above, the drawing had already finished taking shape. I had intentions of remarking a little more and fixing the proportions and detailing the hair, but I decided to stop. Again, I didn't want to feel that fear of thinking I might ruin a drawing by painting it. I feel that was the most important thing to be able to grab the color and after watching the video tutorials, give it a try.
Antes que nada, hice una pequeña práctica, como pueden observar mayormente se centró en pintar el lado morado del cabello de Karla.
Primero, comenzando por los extremos, la parte inicial de cada punta debía ser oscura. Segundo, fui aumentando la presión del color mientras hacía más líneas, ciertamente considero que hacer líneas que simulen el cabello es la parte más difícil, pero creo que con ver referencias es suficiente, o al menos, así me funciono a mí. Finalmente, intensifique el tono oscuro y remarque las líneas de los bordes con morado, si aprecian de cerca el dibujo final, notarán que las líneas que forman el pelo también están pintadas de morado (aunque en algunas partes me pase).

First, starting at the ends, the initial part of each tip had to be dark. Second, I increased the pressure of the color as I made more lines, I certainly consider that making lines that simulate hair is the most difficult part, but I think that seeing references is enough, or at least, that's how it worked for me. Finally, I intensified the dark tone and highlighted the lines of the edges with purple, if you look closely at the final drawing, you will notice that the lines that form the hair are also painted in purple (although in some parts I overdid it).
El coloreado del rostro fue lo más sencillo. Use un color marrón y naranja para las sombras, y un tono color carne para rellenar toda la zona de la cara. Fue bastante simple, solo evité presionar mucho para que no se vieran trazos y que fuera un tanto más natural.

The coloring of the face was the easiest. I used a brown and orange color for the shadows, and a flesh tone to fill in the whole area of the face. It was quite simple, I just avoided pressing too much so that no strokes were visible and it was a bit more natural.

Muchisimas gracias! realmente yo tampoco se mucho, solo se que la marca Kores es muy comun en el cole. Hay marcas que si estan recomendadas para dibujo, perooo suelen ser caras xd.

Gracias! En el momento tuve miedo, ya que borrar el color no suele ser sencillo y termina manchando la hoja, pero de alguna forma logre los brillos.
Sii es cierto, borrar color no es nada fácil. Por cierto, te recomiendo los Pointer que tienen una guacamaya y la caja es azul con blanco que esos son muy económicos y se mezclan bien 👍🏻
