OCTUBRE, UN MES PARA CREAR
Octubre es un mes bastante activo para los artistas con los retos de dibujo inspirados la mayoría de las veces en las celebraciones de Halloween 🎃🖌️🎨. Inktober de Jake Parker y Drawlloween son los retos más famosos. Cada año miles de artistas de todo el mundo se preparan para este mes. El reto consta de un tema al día, lo que te da 31 días de creatividad basadas en las listas creadas por diversos artistas. Este año tomé la determinación de no seguir un solo reto, sino tomar el tema que más me inspirara de cada lista para hacer mis creaciones artísticas.
OCTOBER, A MONTH TO CREATE
October is a busy month for artists with drawing challenges inspired by the Halloween celebrations 🎃🖌️🎨. Jake Parker's Inktober and Drawlloween are the most famous challenges. Every year thousands of artists from all over the world prepare for this month. The challenge consists of one theme per day, which gives you 31 days of creativity based on lists created by various artists. This year I decided not to follow only one challenge, but to take the theme that will most inspire me from each list to make my artistic creations.
The Owl Wizard
Debo confesar que rescaté a este pequeño de un sketch que había hecho hace un año y le terminé de dar forma y color. Me relajé mucho coloreandolo y la verdad me gustó mucho el resultado 🦉❤️.

I must confess that I rescued this little boy from a sketch I had done a year ago and I finished giving him shape and color. I relaxed a lot by coloring it and I really liked the result 🦉❤️.

PROCESO CREATIVO
Primeramente hice un sketch basado en referencias, esto es algo muy importante; cuando hacemos un sketch de un animal que no conocemos bien su anatomía siempre podemos buscar fotos referenciales en internet para tener una mejor idea de su estructura y proporción.
El siguiente paso es el entintado. Como es un dibujo sencillo solo use dos colores: marrón y negro, con bolígrafos.
CREATIVE PROCESS
First of all I made a sketch based on references, this is something very important; when we make a sketch of an animal that we don't know well its anatomy we can always look for reference photos on the internet to have a better idea of its structure and proportion.
The next step is inking. As it is a simple drawing only use two colors: brown and black, with pens.
Luego procedí a darle color con los lápices de colores Prismacolor premier, use un poco de acuarela como base para algunas áreas (sombrero y árbol).
Para el fondo use óleo pastel y es que me gusta mucho la textura y la intensidad de color que dan. Particularmente yo uso está técnica con difuminado para darle un acabado más suave.
Then I proceeded to color it with the Prismacolor premier pencils, using some watercolor as a base for some areas (hat and tree).
For the background I used pastel oil and I really like the texture and intensity of color they give. I particularly use this technique with blurring to give it a softer finish.
