Little of Mandala Little bit of my Drawing - My Art work

in Sketchbook6 months ago (edited)

I love being challenged. Especially when it comes to draw something. But I need some spare time to get to the the challenge. Few weeks ago, I drawn a mandala art in school during a spare routine time. It was an art of "fish" which I get good response from my teachers. When I showed it to my Dad he was doubting a bit. As mandala art requires a lot of focus and dedication.

Looking at his response, I made sure to draw something similar with a different design. And this is what I comes up.

Before I go onward to the detailed drawing process, let me share that this piece require a lot of time. And I drew this over a couple of days to balance out my study and passion. Doing art in middle of study helps me to relax and refresh. So this piece is not drawn innsingle day.

To begin this art I made use of

  • White sheet paper
  • Black pencil & eraser
  • Colour pencil

I had a theme in mind, last time in school I drew a fish but rhis time I was looking to draw a 🦚 peacock

I made a circular frame and bordered it with traingle shapes at equal distances. I did the peacock sketch right in middle of the circle. All these were done using the HB pencil. Further I made use of the color pencil to fill the empty spaces and also to give some shape and design all around the border area.

As I made this art work over couple of days. I easily manages to snap some of the drawing steps. Here are the different steps involved in the drawing process.

After filling the entire empty spaces with colors , drawing lines all along the border area, the end result looks like this. Which appeared far more better than what I drawn at school.

So I am leaving it all to decide which one is better. But somehow I manages to convince my Dad that it was my own art work. He was in awe and very impressed.

Woah this is pure art! It's cool I love the birds, I don't know if it's the mixture of colors or the designs. It's pretty cool.

I used the sketch pencil to fill the pieces ...I just made it with open minds and it comes out to be nice.
