Greetings everyone, I invite you to see this digital illustration that I liked a lot, as it is a reinterpretation of the great masterpiece known worldwide as the Scream, this painting was made by the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, and is considered one of the most representative of the Expressionist movement, the author, made four versions, the original made in 1893 by a mixed technique of oil and pastel on cardboard and is exhibited at the National Gallery in Oslo.
The artist's objective was to represent modern man in a situation of desperation; the landscape, the sea, the sky and the earth are built with undulations that seem to prolong the scream that escapes from the central figure, providing movement to the work and the asymmetry of the painting contributes to transmit restlessness and imbalance. In his technique he uses two resources the "emotional distortion" of the character's face that is disfigured to convey his emotion, and the strident coloring as a tool to emphasize the moods.
Now, based on the original work, I made a digital reinterpretation using adobe illustrator cc, first I made the drawing strokes with the pen tool, these are gradually joining to form irregular polygons that give the appearance of geometry throughout the composition, after finishing the drawing, I applied color to all the polygonal fragments taking color samples from the original image with the Drop Count tool, then to give a more creative, personal touch and with the intention of giving more geometric aspect, I added polygons like the circle, the triangle and the square,

Saludos a todos, los invito a que vean esta ilustración digital que me gustó bastante, ya que es una reinterpretación de la gran obra maestra conocida mundialmente como el Grito, esta pintura fue realizada por el artista Noruego Edvard Munch, y es considerada una de las más representativas del movimiento Expresionista, el autor, realizó cuatro versiones, el original realizado en 1893 mediante una técnica mixta de óleo y pastel sobre cartón y se encuentra expuesto en la Galería Nacional de Oslo.
El objetivo del artista era representar al hombre moderno en una situación de desesperación; el paisaje, el mar, el cielo y la tierra se construyen a base de ondulaciones que parecen prolongar el grito que se escapa de la figura central, proporcionando movimiento a la obra y la asimetría del cuadro contribuye a transmitir inquietud y desequilibrio. En su técnica utiliza dos recursos la “distorsión emotiva” del rostro del personaje que se desfigura para transmitir su emoción, y el colorido estridente como herramienta para enfatizar los estados de ánimo.
Ahora bien, basándome en la obra original, realicé una reinterpretación en digital utilizando el programa adobe illustrator cc, primero hice los trazos de dibujo con la herramienta pluma, estos se van uniendo poco a poco para formar polígonos irregulares que van dando el aspecto de geometría en toda la composición, luego de terminar el dibujo, apliqué color a todos los fragmentos poligonales tomando muestras de color de la imagen original con la herramienta Cuenta Gotas, después para dar un toque más creativo, personal y con intención de dar más aspecto geométrico, fui añadiendo polígonos como el circulo, el triángulo y el cuadrado,
