Hello dear friends of Hive and Sketchbook community!
Today I want to share with you this little house in the swamp. This idea was inspired by those fishermen's wooden houses. Fishermen who live in the dark forest, surrounded by trees and accompanied by complete silence.
In it lives an old man. Dedicated to fishing and small carpentry, he has been able to build his small house and boat.
As he entered old age, he wanted to follow his dream of living in complete peace doing what he loves.
Many people very few times a year come to visit him, looking for help in carpentry or to learn fishing from him.
He feeds on fish and the few fruits that can give that dark forest and every corner of the house is made by him.
I hope you can enjoy the process and see through this illustration a little of the life of this old man.
En el día de hoy les quiero compartir esta pequeña casa en el pantano. Esta idea a sido inspirada en aquellas casas de madera de pescadores. Pescadores que habitan en el bosque oscuro, rodeados de árboles y acompañados del completo silencio.
En ella habita un anciano. Dedicado a la pesca y a la pequeña carpintería, ha podido fabricar su pequeña casa y bote.
Al entrar en la vejez, quiso seguir su sueño de vivir en completa paz haciendo lo que le gusta.
Muchas personas muy pocas veces al año van y lo visitan, van en búsqueda de ayuda en carpintería o para aprender la pesca de el.
Se alimenta de peces y de los pocos frutos que puede dar aquel oscuro bosque y Cada rincón de la casa está hecho por el.
Espero puedan disfrutar del proceso y puedan ver a través de esta ilustración un poco de la vida de este anciano.
To start with, I can search for references and analysis about the houses. Also of the marshes and boats.
I couldn't really say that swamp is very well done, but it was the best I could do so far. I hope I can improve more.
I love wooden houses, it always gives a cozier feeling.
When I looked all this up and was very clear about what I wanted, I set to work on the drawing.
Para iniciar, me puse en búsqueda de referencias y análisis acerca de las casas. También de los pantanos y botes.
Realmente no podría decir que aquel pantano está muy bien hecho, pero fue lo mejor que pude hacer hasta el momento. Espero poder mejorar más.
Me encantan las casas en madera, siempre da una sensación más acogedora.
Al buscar todo esto y tener muy claro lo que quería, me puse en marcha con el dibujo.
Defining the sketch until I was really satisfied was the next step.
With the Pincel 6B I did all the outlining.
Already at this point I could visualize much better how it would finally look like. Afterwards the colors would be integrated into it.
Definir el boceto hasta quedar realmente satisfecho era el siguiente paso.
Con el Pincel 6B realice todo el delineado.
Ya en este punto podía ya visualizar mucho mejor como quedaría finalmente. Ya después los colores se integrarían en el.
The colors were fundamental. I wanted greenish but warm tones, since it was a forest and a swamp. A little dark to convey the feeling of isolation and darkness produced by the trees and the tone of the swamp.
Los colores era algo fundamental. Quería unos tonos verdosos pero cálidos, ya que se trataba de un bosque y un pantano. Un poco oscuro para que dé a entender la sensación de aislamiento y oscuridad producida por los árboles y el tono del pantano.
For this I will use the brushes of *** Watercolor 1 and 6B compressed***.
I will start by applying one shader I will start by applying a shade higher than the base with the watercolor brush, then with the crayon brush I will add texture. This way I will be continuing all over the drawing.
Después de haber aplicado cada color en su lugar, comenzaré con los detalles. Para ello utilizaré los pinceles de *** Acuarela 1 y 6B comprimido***
Comenzaré aplicando un tono mayor al de la base con el pincel de acuarela, después con el pincel de crayón agregó textura. Así estaré continuando por todo el dibujo.
Once I have most of the details ready, I will start adding the window illuminations.
For this I will use a warm yellow tone, and put it in the Overlay layer mode.
Al tener la mayor parte de detalles listos, comenzaré a agregar las iluminaciones en las ventanas.
Para ello utilizaré un tono amarillo cálido, y lo pondré en el modo de capa de Superposición
Then I started working in the background.
For the forest I made silhouettes of thick dry trees.
And for the swamp I made brush strokes with the dry watercolor brush, varying the tones, some darker to give depth and others lighter for the reflections.
Después comencé a trabajar en el fondo.
Para el bosque realice unas siluetas de gruesos árboles secos.
Y para el pantano pinceladas con el pincel de acuarela seca, variando de tonos, unos más oscuros para darle profundidad y otros más claros para los reflejos.
Finally, I was adding more detail, I added the small wooden boat and improved the illuminations.
All this using the same techniques mentioned above.
Ya por finalizar, estuve colocando más detalle, agregue el pequeño bote de madera y mejoré las iluminaciones.
Todo esto utilizando las mismas técnicas mencionadas.

Textures look awesome as always. If I may, a yellow lamp reflection on the water may make it feel more realistic. Don't take this the wrong way xd. The artwork looks awesome either way :)

I really wanted to do light reflections in the water but I was a little afraid of ruining it, but what you say sounds great to me, it would look better and more realistic.
