Hola Hivers, espero estén disfrutando su fin de semana. En post anteriores había mencionado los materiales que más utilizo, entre ellos se encuentra los lápices de grafito. Tengo la intención de ir intercalando en mi post cada una de las técnicas que manejo, así que el día de hoy le toco el turno a los lápices de grafito.
A continuación, les comparto algunas imágenes del proceso con una breve explicación. Espero les sea de utilidad.
Hello Hivers, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. In previous posts I had mentioned the materials I use the most, among them are graphite pencils. I have the intention of interspersing in my post each of the techniques I use, so today it's the turn of graphite pencils.
Below, I share with you some images of the process with a brief explanation. I hope you find it useful.

Materiales / Materials :
- Lápices de grafito / Graphite pencils, (H,HB,2H y 2B)
- Borrador moldeable / Kneaded Eraser
- MonoZero
- Papel Canson MixMedia / Canson MixMedia Paper
- Algodón / Cotton
- Para comenzar realicé el boceto inicial con un lápiz HB, ya que son líneas fáciles de borrar y nos sirven bien como referencia. Si utilizas otro tipo de lápiz procura ejercer mucha presión.
- Realizo un tono base para la piel, esto con un lápiz H. Para que se vea uniforme voy degradando con un algodón.
- Para dar volumen a la cara, la piel debe tener luces y sombras. Las luces se logran aplicando el borrador moldeable en las zonas que lo necesiten. Para las sobras se aplico una capa de lápices H, además de utilizar lápices B y 2B.
- To begin I made the initial sketch with an HB pencil, since they are easy to erase lines and serve us well as a reference.
- I make a base tone for the skin, this with a pencil H. To make it look uniform I degrade it with a cotton pad.
- To give volume to the face, the skin must have highlights and shadows. The highlights are achieved by applying the moldable eraser in the areas that need it. For the leftovers I apply a layer of H pencils, in addition to using B and 2B pencils.
- Otras zonas como los labios y pupilas los realizo con B y 2B. En el caso de este rostro estos eran mas oscuros que la piel.
- Para el cabello se utilizó los lápices H, B y 2B. Para iniciar voy trazando cabello por cabello con el lápiz H, después de esto coloco algunas capas de grafito con el lápiz B y B2, pero solo en las zonas que requieran más oscuridad. Los brillos del cabello se logran borrando algunas zonas con el Mono Zero.
- Cejas y pestañas las realizo con lápiz H y B, es muy importante que la punta del lápiz sea muy fina. Recomiendo utilizar una lija para esto.
- Al final solo borro las líneas que se salen de mi trazo de referencia y las manchas de grafito que se hicieron por manipular el papel en le proceso.
- Other areas such as the lips and pupils were done with B and 2B. In the case of this face these were darker than the skin.
- For the hair I used pencils H, B and 2B. To start I trace hair by hair with the H pencil, after this I place some layers of graphite with the B and B2 pencils, but only in the areas that require more darkness. The shine of the hair is achieved by erasing some areas with the Mono Zero.
- Eyebrows and eyelashes are done with pencil H and B, it is very important that the tip of the pencil is very fine. I recommend using a sandpaper for this.
- At the end I only erase the lines that go out of my reference line and the graphite stains that were made by manipulating the paper in the process.
