I am really in love with this technique,
I usually do not like drawing techniques in which it takes a long time to make a drawing, and that is that it took me around 9 hours, spread over 3 days.
I was looking for photos to inspire me in my capture gallery. Then I saw that he had this animal kissing his baby, a photograph that I took from the instagram profile of @natures.
I used the bic brand pens, there is a box that comes with 12 colors, when buying it I was not clear what I would draw but I am sure I will use them very often.
The Process
It was not clear if I would make the background, so I started with the small one located on the left side, this way it would not stain the paper when drawing.
As you can see, the sketch was very basic, so I made the proportions as needed using the pen.
I used the orange color, where the coffee was darker and also the black.
I finished the characters and decided to make the background, a little green grass and the sky, for this I used watercolors
The good
I personally loved the result as well as the process, I found it a quite entertaining technique and seeing the result is very satisfactory.
the colors can be combined and the textures that are achieved are also very varied, I think that many works could be done with this technique and it is also very fun.
The bad
Sometimes the pen would draw more ink than it should and left small dots of ink throughout the artwork.
A work can take a long time, but in the end it is worth it
