Hey there

Today I'm back with another drawing I've made. This time it's a drawing of Miku Kobato, who is a guitarist and vocalist in the band, Band-Maid, a Japanese rock band I've been a fan of for a couple of years. Last summer I bought most of their albums, and have since then been listening to their music quite a lot. So I decided it would be fun to try and draw one of the members of the band. In the end i decided drawing Miku Kobato (middle girl in the picture bellow). She used to work at a maid cafe, which is where she got the idea for a band that combined the maid cafe image with rock music. I thought it was somewhat fitting to draw her since she was the one who got the band together, also she usually have red hair tips and i wanted to draw that.

The drawing turned out quite aright in the end, although i messed up a couple of important details. Most importantly, i drew her as left handed on accident even though she's right handed, which bothers me a great deal. I only noticed when it was already a bit too late to change, so I guess I'll just have to redo it at some point. I also ended up changing her guitar a bit because I couldn't make it look right with the original design. I might attempt to draw one of the other members at some point, but for now this is all I have. If anyone is curious about their music, they do have some of it on YouTube, I would personally recommend Alone or Choose me. That's all for today, I Hope you all have a nice day.

Hi there I'm scarlet-rain a 19 year old girl from Denmark, who enjoy drawing anime style drawings and animations in my spare time.

Sort:

When I was in Tokyo with the family we went to a 'maid cafe' as part of the experience. It's one of the peculiarities of Japanese culture. The band sound great. They have some good rock bands over there that don't get much attention, although Babymetal have done well.

Your picture is great. You really capture that style.

Thank you very much :) We never got around to going to a maid cafe, but we did get to hear some of the music while visiting the shops, there's definitely a lot of interesting stuff to listen to and as you say, only very few of them are known in the rest of the world, which is kind of a shame

You should share the process of your work.

Have a great time.

@tipu curate

Thanks, I might start doing that with some of my drawings :)
