Starting up with my passion , today I am going to show a Mermaid Gown illustration, designed by me . I love to play with different kind of falls , drapes and pleates. This design makes a bold statement . I have created pleates in upper bodice and different folds and distinctive flair at lower bodice. Used ombre effect in the flair to enhance its look.
Here are the steps of the design
Firstly drawn the rough outline of the dress
Then rendered the colors in skin and hair and made stylised facial features.
Then done shading in upper bodice to hip area , showing pleates and tucks
Then shaded the last but not the least part of the dress i.e. flair , the beautiful ombre effect starting from light green then emerald green to dark blue.
