Greetings dear readers. A couple of days ago I was watching the movie edward the scissorhands boy, and I remembered that I have a friend incredibly similar to Kim Boggs' character, and I said "hey I want to draw my friend Ines".
This is a new chapter of my mini series of posts drawing real people in cartoon, a fun way to learn to practice and even better to let people know about the HIVE platform.

Saludos apreciados lectores. Hace un par de dias estaba mirando la película de edward el chico manos de tijeras, y recordé que tengo una amiga increíblemente parecida al personaje de Kim Boggs, y dije "hey quiero dibujar a mi amiga Ines".
Este es un nuevo capitulo de mi mini serie de post dibujando personas reales en caricatura, una forma divertida de aprender practicar y aún mejor dar a conocer la plataforma de HIVE.
Reference
We will take as a reference the photo of my friend Ines Sierra, I will try to be as faithful as possible to this reference without interfering with the creative side of the process.
Tomaremos como referencia La foto de mi amiga Ines sierra , trataré de ser lo más fiel posible a esta referencia sin interferir con el lado creativo del proceso.
We start the illustration with a basic sketch in blue color and without many details.
Iniciamos La ilustración con un boceto básico en color azul y sin muchos detalles.
The next step in the elaboration of the sketch is to give all the details, as you can notice my first idea was to modify the mouth opening it a little bit to give it a sexier touch, I discarded this idea later on.
El siguiente paso en la elaboración del boceto es dar todos los detalles, como pueden notar mi primera idea era modificar la boca abrirla un poco para darle un toque mas sexy, esta idea la descarte mas adelante.
Here we can see the second sketch this time with more details and "cleaner". I tried to make it as close as possible to the photo because I like that pose very much.
Aqui podemos ver el segundo boceto, esta vez con mas detalles y mas "limpio". trate de hacerla lo mas parecida posible a la foto pues me gusta mucho esa pose.
On a different layer over the blue sketch, apply the lineart this will be the final layer, for this illustration we will use thin lines this will take more time but I like how the result looks.
En una capa diferente sobre el boceto azul, aplicamos el lineart esta será la capa definitiva, para esta ilustración usaremos líneas delgadas, esto llevara mas tiempo pero me gusta como se ve el resultado.
Once finished all the lineart is time for the color, for this we will take similar tones to the one in the photo, I like to lower the saturation of each color that I apply, but that is a matter of personal taste.
in a separated zone of the character I leave a sample of the colors that I will use for each part.
una vez terminado todo el lineart es momento del color, para esto tomaremos tonos similares al de la foto, me gusta bajar la saturación de cada color que aplico, pero eso ya es cuestión de gustos personales.
en una zona apartada del personaje dejo una muestra de los colores que usare para cada parte.
It's time to apply the base color. This shade looks very light but the character is very light skinned almost like snow, that's what I used to name her Ice Angel.
Es momento de aplicar el colore base. este tono se ve muy claro pero el personaje es de piel muy clara casi como la nieve de eso me base para darle el nombre de Angel de hielo.
Once the base color is ready it is time to apply the shadows, there are many ways, one of the ones I use the most is to apply solid shadows and then blend with the blending tool.
Una vez listo el color base es momento de aplicar las sombras, existen muchas formas una de las que yo uso mas es aplicar sombras solidas y luego difuminar con la herramienta difuminador.
I usually leave this kind of details for the end, but I wanted to advance the lips and see how they look with their color, I applied it in the same layer of the skin shadows to achieve a better fusion of the colors.
Este tipo de detalles los suelo dejar para el final, pero quise adelantar la parte de los labios y ver como lucen con su color, esto lo aplique en la misma capa de las sombras de la piel para lograr una mejor fusión de los colores.
Following the same technique the drawing takes shape. For the hair we apply a soft shadow color without giving too much detail before going deeper and applying much more detailed shadows.
Siguiendo la misma técnica el dibujo va tomando forma. para el cabello aplicamos un color de sombra suave sin dar muchos detalles antes de profundizar y aplicar sombras mucho mas detalladas.
These small contrasting hairs give a more realistic touch to the hair and make the hair not look flat. Some details take a lot of time but the result is worth it.
Estos pequeños cabellos en contraste le dan un toque mas realista al cabello y hacen que el cabello no se vea plano. algunos detalles quitan mucho tiempo pero el resultado vale la pena.
The most important part of this drawing are the eyes because it is here where we tell the story where we connect with the people who look at our illustration, for this we will give special attention, a mixture of brown tones and lights will help us to give depth to the look.
La parte mas importante en este dibujo son los ojos pues es aqui donde contamos la historia donde conectamos con las personas que miren nuestra ilustración , para ello daremos especial atención, una mezcla de tonos marrón y luces nos ayudarán a darle profundidad a la mirada.
For the background we will apply colors similar to the reference but without so many details, applying texture and glows helps to integrate more the character with the background, some small lights and glows give the effect of snow and cold.
Para el fondo aplicaremos colores similares al de la referencia pero sin tantos detalles, aplicar textura y brillos ayuda a integrar mas el personaje con el mismo. unas pequeñas luces y brillos dan el efecto de nieve y frio.
To finish we apply a new layer of white color, this is as a filter and give a cold effect on the drawing. We erase certain parts and lower the opacity until we find a balance.
Para terminar aplicaremos una nueva capa de color blanco, esto es a modo de filtro y dar un efecto de frio en el dibujo. Borramos ciertas partes y bajamos la opacidad hasta encontrar un equilibrio.
The program used was Tool sai 2, I have not mastered it yet but it is a good program that offers interesting tools that are worth trying when creating your illustrations, my friend was delighted with the drawing and I took the opportunity to talk to her about Hive and Web 3, hopefully soon she will be with us sharing for hive.

El programa usado fue Tool sai 2, aun no lo domino del todo pero es un buen programa que ofrece herramientas interesantes que vale la pena probar al momento de crear tus ilustraciones, mi amiga quedo encantada con el dibujo aproveche la oportunidad para hablarle de Hive y la Web 3 esperemos pronto este con nosotros compartiendo para hive.
